We hope you have all enjoyed a relaxing and productive summer and look forward to seeing you all at the 20th Anniversary BLC Plenary, November 12-14, at the College. You will find lots of great information about this year’s agenda, and the many activities planned to make this another memorable event, by clicking here. Many thanks to Katherine Collins and Laila Partridge for their leadership on this program. We are happy to announce that we also will be offering a special 20th Anniversary price of $500 – a savings of $200 – on registration for the full program. We hope this means we’ll have an exceptional turn-out this year, particularly from those members who haven’t attended in recent years.

This is the time of year when we are finalizing our slate for the BLC Board for 2009-2010. If you are interested in a leadership role on the Board, please contact Denise Brosseau. We have many new members this year, please click here for more information on them. Please reach out and welcome those from your region or your class! Our goal of 20 new members for the 20th Anniversary is not quite accomplished, so don’t hesitate to send along your nominations to Ellen Hoffman.

You should have received information in your dues packet about the launch of the BLC Women on Corporate Boards Initiative. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Hawthorne. Take a moment and update your member profile to include past and present non-profit and for-profit board service so that others who share similar interests may contact you. A special thank you to the excellent team who put together our Spring Retreat in Miami. I know we all enjoyed the fun in the sun and a chance to relax with other BLC members.
